Assalamoalikum Fellow Darussalaam Members,

Alhamdulillah, by the infinite of Mercy of the Almighty, I am pleased to share with you another good news in the span of only a week. Our application for registration of the Darussalaam Welfare Centre Ltd. as a charitable organisation has finally succeeded. We have been notified that DWC is now registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

This is an immense blessing of Allah SWT - a reward from Him for our patience, persistence, watchfulness (guarding against possible harm) and consciousness (fear) of Allah, as Allah says in the Holy Qur'an, "O believers! Patiently endure, persevere, stand on guard, and be mindful of Allah, so you may be successful" (3:200).

Let us thank our Most Merciful Lord and continue to follow His guidance - patiently persevere with caution remaining mindful of our Lord. Insha-Allah we shall succeed.

Alhamdulillah, our project work is progressing. Before I provide you an update, let me request you ALL to visit Dararussalaam website https://darussalaamcemetery.com.au/ and register yourself.

This will generate an automated acknowledgement reply e-mail with your Unique Membership Number (UMN). Please keep this number in a safe place as you will need your UMN for any future correspondence with the Darussalaam Welfare Centre (DWC).

Following your registration, insha-Allah, DWC will issue (re-issue) your Pioneer Certificate.
This on-line self registration is needed for ALL members regardless of whether you registered before or received your Pioneer Certificate.

This is a new on-line data management system DWC has installed for smooth operation and to avoid inadvertent mistakes. This will make the operation more efficient and accountable.

Updates:

      1. The above on-line data management is the first item on the list. Alhamdulillah, we have accomplished this with the hard work of Brothers Morshed, Sayedul and Mustaq. Jazak-Allah Khairun.

      2. DA preparation work has progressed significantly with the aim to formally submit it within the next 2/3 months.

      3. ACNC application for non-profit status has progressed; the 1st review is done and DWC has responded to a couple inquiries. The final decision is expected within a month.

      5. 5. The Executive Board also decided to form fundraising/membership sub-committees for different suburbs/LGA. So far 2 such suburb/LGA fundraising/membership sub-committees are formed - one for Lakemba and one for Campbelltown. The sole responsibility of these LGA/Suburb sub-committees is membership drive and fund-raising.
